If you use the app you can click the link "Use my current location" and it will auto fill your state. I live in Sweden in and it auto filled "Vastra Gotaland County" which is correct. We don't call it states, but that doesn't really matter.

Thanks for your reply. I've used find my location for the city but I can't progress without the state field being completed- Next button won't take me forward. 

Maybe it works differently the first time. The state was automatically filled for me when I did it now. 

I had written Sweden as as state. It was now changed to my county.
