Shoe tracking

Most runners have a pair of trail and road shoes, but we can only track one pair by default.  All running activities, Trail Run and Run go to this  default show making the current Garmin format meaningless.  Runners actually like to know how many kms are on their shoes, so why can Garmin not incorporate this functionality?  There are threads going back over 24mo requesting this functionality with no response from Garmin.

  • Apparently Garmin does not hurry with implementing the change. In the meantime I simply assign the shoes manually, when I use a pair that is not the default one. Not such a big deal. Especially easily done in Garmin Connect Web; a bit less comfortable on the app.

  • I am completely happy with the way it is implemented just now. As I have more than one pair of shoes for each running type, I have to assign the right one anyhow - if its not the default pair. Hope Garmin will not change it. Don't overcomplicate stuff.
