Suggestion: Change the name of exercises in strength training

The name of the exercises in strength training is strongly unintuitive. I think everyone knows what a "Bulgarian squat" is, but you can not find such an exercise in the strength training activity. There is such a thing as "squat with the leg elevated".

There are more such names, there are many exercises that have names known in every country regardless of language.

I do not understand such naming of exercises, it is hard to find them creating training.

    I don't.

    squat with the leg elevated

This is far more intuitive for me.

  • But you go to gyms don't you, right?

If you think naming exercises after anatomical movements is more logical, can you give me a hint as to what "Nordic Hamstring Cur" or "highbar squat" is called according to Garmin?

  • I recently found 'Glute Bridge' as 'Bridge with Glute Lower Lift' in Pilates. And the 'Bird Dog' exercise as 'Arm and Leg Extension on Knees'. Couldn't have done it without the video examples on Connect.

If anyone knows how the Superman is called, please reply! Or take an intuitive guess. Joy
It's named that way in Strength but not in Pilates.

  • Yes, many of them are not intuitive. Also, many exercises are missing. Having such ineffective/inflexible search and complete lack of filtering (e.g. by body parts) does not help.

I gave up on using garmin for exercise tracking or creating training. Takes too much work for such a simple thing. It is easier to do it on paper or use separate app for it if you like using apps (there are many).

I do, but different cultures, countries and even different generations might call these exercises by different names. There's no standardization.

+1 on being able to search by body part
