Can't upload from Garmin 1040 Edge to Connect

Hi,

My ride hasn't uploaded from Edge 1040 to Garmin Connect. I tried manually uploading it on my PC by uploading fit file, but I get a message that this type of file is not supported and can't be uploaded.

Any solutions?

You can try a 3rd party tool, such as FIT File Tools. Use the section remover without any adjustments. If that still doesn't work, zip then attach the fit file here. We will take a look at it to see if it is repairable.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a reputable file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.

I tried FIT File Tools and that didn't work either. I'm attaching a zip file [solved]

Sems there was a 40-minute time gap with missing timestamps. When it picked up again, there was a problem where the distance was not in ascending order.

Still some data missing, but this will work - [solved]

Since you used an HRM-Pro, possible this caused the corruption. Some things to note with this HRM.

Use the HRM download feature only after an activity where it was not possible to wear the watch
Update the HRM firmware Updating Software on the HRM-Pro/Pro Plus
During the HRM-Pro download process keep the strap and watch in close proximity
If issues persist even after the firmware update, contact Garmin Support

I was able to upload this file, but unfortunately only half the distance (35mi).

Ok, I will. And I also wonder if things got messed up because I didn't wear my watch. This is the first time it happened, and the first time I didn't wear my watch during the ride.
