One of the rules for badge challenges is that you must use a Garmin device so it isn't so much any fixing that needs to be done. It is working as intended.
Garmin needs to decide that they will change the rule and then change the code.
Use fitfiletools.com. here you can change the file so it fools garmin to think you recorded with one of their decives
