hi ,
i'm a basecamp user, but as the ppl i ride with are not, and as i'd like share routes, i'm migrating to garmin connect.
how can i upload a garmin track (ie a gpx) with several waypoints that need to become via points ("course points" i think the word is in connect?)
currently i'm curating a my basecamp where I have rides with several waypoints (cafe stopover, landmarks, top of hills,...)
I currently use Javawa RTW tool where I upload the gsx route, together with all the waypoints. I then have this file coverted whereby the waypoints get embedded in teh file as course points. Meaning: they do not appear in my waypoint list, but when riding, i have these listed chronologically as part of teh up ahead (ie how far is it to the cafe, to the top of the hill,...)
when uploading this file to garmin connect to make a course of if, it seems these via points (course points) are ommitted? i hope i don't need to manually add all the course points to the rides?
also, if I'm making 2 different rides that pass via the same cafe, or hill or,.... do I then separately need to mark those in each of the ride? in basecamp, i'm used to dragging all relevant waypoints from a large collection of wapoints into each relevant ride.
at the moment it feels like garmin connect is a step back from garmin connect, therefore I'm sure I'm still lacking a lot of knowledge as that doesn't seem right.
