What are the jsons that list the cardio and hiit exercises?

the cardio and hiit exercises are in the exercises json but do they have their own jsons?

  • this post  in the forum has an exercise spreadsheet  it uses the exercise and yoga jsons. I'd like to add the hiit and cardio ones so I can cross reference the garmin hiit and cardio exercises with exercises from another site. I'd like to do this by muscle group. there is no way on the connect site to do this. thanks

  • You cannot cross reference any jsons with another website, since each exercise has its own ID described in the SDK, and the watch would not recognize any exercises with an undefined ID anyway.

    • I just manually do it. I use another site that has better breakdowns of what exercises work what muscles. So like upper/lower pecs. The I match the exercise up with a similar exercise in garmin and create a workout I can track on my watch. It makes it easier if I can sort the exercises by muscle group.  If that majes sense.
this has Pilates added. It helps to figure out what I’m working on. docs.google.com/.../htmlview
  • Open the DevTools of your browser and go to the HIIT workout page (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/workout/create/hiit for a new one). In the Network tab of the DevTools search for "exercise". The full list is then in the request Exercises.json

  • Thanks! I was mucking around in the devtools but was kind of lost. Lol

ill give this a look in the morning. Thank you.

  • I got to say, that original spreadsheet was a huge help to me. I'm a bit old school and like to create my own workouts, so that was really helpful. But it also really helped me with some social anxiety I have. I was cool with putting my headphones on and doing my gym workouts but I could never bring myself to attend any of the classes my gym offered. The anxiety got the better of me. But when I stumbled across that spreadsheet and had access to all the yoga poses/names/animations I learned a bunch of them at home and eventually got the confidence up to attend a class. Once I was able to that, I gave Pilates classes a go. Knowing I could quickly access the poses was super helpful and decreased the anxiety. I'm actually less reclusive in the gym now too and don't wear headphone anymore. Slight smile
