How can I get training activities from Garmin Connect into my edge 800?

Hi,

I created an activity in Garmin Connect (web based). When I tried to download it to my EDGE 800 which was connected to my computer, I got an error saying there was no connected device.

How can I get training activities that I create on Garmin Connect downloaded into my edge 800.

Manually created Activities are not supposed to be uploaded to the device. I am not sure what exactly you are trying to do, but I assume…

Manually created Activities are not supposed to be uploaded to the device. I am not sure what exactly you are trying to do, but I assume you wanted to use Workouts. If you did it, and cannot upload a workout to Edge, then it is perhaps possible, that you inadvertently selected a workout type that Edge does not support. Make sure the workout is of the type Cycling.

that was the issue.

I recreated the workout as a cycling workout and it's downloading fine now.
