Thanksgiving Badge 2023

Any ideas why there is no U.S. Thanksgiving badge this year - or why the special holiday/festival badges are mostly based in Asian countries?

You realize they had Thanksgiving badges 2022 and 2021 and probably older? They can just call it "Turkey day" like some others do. There is no reason you can't separate what it is now from it's past.…

Right, they never did. My brain just filled in blanks. They did the other holidays this year though. Maybe cause thanksgiving is "problematic" now? Anyway, at least if they keep up with the other ones they did this year for 2024.

I decided to invest into Garmin for the quality and for the motivation. It has honestly kept me going with the badges, etc. I'm disappointed that they have a Halloween one this year but not Thanksgiving or Christmas?

Halloween is a secular holiday. Thanksgiving is controversial as to a portion of the US population it's a reminder of the genocide that was enacted on their ancestors. Christmas is a religious holiday.

I respect that Garmin chooses to avoid controversy.

I'm a vegan. Turkey Day would be offensive to me
