Recurring goals, any news?

I found many threads about this topic, dating many years back.

Is it still not possible to set a recurring goal? Do I have to set a weekly mileage every week for the next without being able to "repeat" it?

I mean, theese are pretty basic function and I really don't get why Garmin in all theese years never took the time to add, while it seems that almost every other did.

This might be off-topic, but It seems that Garmin is not pursuing development in many function that are featured in the Strava Summit subscription. Otherwise I really don't get why they're investing so much in some areas while not taking care in basic (and long-time known) missing features like this one, or better GC visualization etc.

I already posted in the "Share an idea" page. Is anyone else interested in this as I am?

Thanks

  • Strava Summit subscription

Garmin Connect is a free service and integrates good with Strava and lots of other services that analyze the data.

It is hard to compete with paid services and I don't think they really need to. Better to focus on Garmin specific data that are not in the other services, but at the same time have the basic functions that slowly is improving.

Many functions need a complete rewamp. Goals is one of those. They are not even in the app. I think they should be moved to the challenge function and be personal challenges.

  • I don't agree with you about CG being a free service. Garmin ecosystem is part of the product you buy, and you pay for it.
