How to convey to the developer that their new badge is VERY STUPID?!

Hi all!
Topic: new badge "Sleepy Series"

Now you can sleep and become a leader among friends in the number of badges. “Thank you Garmin” - your new “Sleepy Series” badge helped motivate me to compete with my friends.
Why make the "Sleepy Series" badge repeatable?! It is so stupid!

  • Makes sense to me. Proper sleep and recovery are important for your health, fitness, and for the progress as well, hence permanently motivating the user to try getting enough good sleep seems to be a wise decision.

  • I agree with you that recovery is very important.
But how can a dream be equated in points to a 21 km race + make it repeatable 250 times? The badge can be made in series, completed 1 - 25 - 100 - 200 times and given corresponding points for this. And then you go out and sleep for 28 days, you get 16 points, which is more than a badge for running 300 km a month and you get 2 points, COOL!
I bought Garmin as a sports motivator, but now I can sit near the TV and sleep, while being ahead of my friends who move a lot! Cool! It's very sporty!

  • The purpose is the motivation to try to get good sleep. If it were not repeatable, there would be no motivation. As for the runs and other workouts, there are hundreds of other badges that keep you motivated to exercise.

  • Если бы это не было повторяемо, была бы мотивация.

I understand what you mean. Is it fair to equate 28 days of sleep (this is early 16 points) to 2400 km of running in 8 months??? - this amount of running also gives 16 points. THIS IS STUPID AND NOT FAIR.

  • Is it fair to equate 28 days of sleep (this is early 16 points) to 2400 km of running in 8 months???

Certainly yes, it is. Good sleep is very important. And BTW, if you run 2400 km in 8 months, you will get several times more of points for all the monthly, quarterly (and for 12 months also the yearly) challenges. Running regularly will get you far over 100 points per year for all the relevant challenge badges.

  • I guess I couldn’t convey the essence of my indignation.
The balance of assessments is broken.
    Again:
Sleeping is much easier than moving a lot. The reward for this must have a balance.

  • Sleeping is much easier than moving a lot.

Depends on the person. For me it is far easier to run a marathon, than to have 7 consecutive days of good sleep.

  • You are my hero! Grinning
