I want to return it...

Hello, @garmin, I'm unhappy with the neglect you're having with the Garmin Venu 2. It's a shame that a watch of this value doesn't have feature updates like other watches.
The hardware can perfectly carry out the latest developments.

It's a simple software update, it's nothing new!
And you don't even try to take advantage of the amoled screen. All watches are basic and ugly. Less than other watches, why?

Where are these basic functions that other brands provide?
Sleep Coach feature, including sleep recommendation factors
Nap detection support
HRV tracking support (at night)
Morning Report feature
Daily Summary report feature
Recovery Time
MTB exercise

That's why I want to return my watch and never go back...!

  • Never expect that you will get more functions than the ones you got when you bought it. Then you will be happy everytime you get something new. You are still getting new functions. The Gaming activity was added 23 days ago.

MTB isn't really needed. Just log it as bike and change it in Connect to MTB. No Vivo or Venu models got MTB. If you want to advanced training functions you should look at Forerunner or Fenix or maybe Instinct.

Major new functions like the ones you have listed are very unlikely to be added to older watches. One of the reasons to buy a new watch is all the new functions that are added to the new models. That is how Garmin is doing it. Garmin is a hardware manufacturer and depends on sales of new models.

If you think that the watchfaces are ugly then you are free to create your own. Most of the watchfaces in Connect IQ are created by 3rd party developers.
