Courses for road cycling.

I'm getting tired of planning courses in the garmin connect app, for ROAD CYCLING, with POPULAR ROADS... and garmin ALWAYS, but ALWAYS sends me to unpaved and gravel roads, sometimes even the dumbest stuff like I'm riding on a perfectly paved road and it makes me turn to go for a few kms in unpaved roads back to the same perfect road I was in. How can you report this, like mark the roads as unpaved or something? or I just have to forget about garmin courses and use some other alternative?

Buy a gravel bike, or a MTB. It is more fun anyway, and you can go where you want

There are countless of alternatives. From Google, Apple maps, Strava, over local websites like mappy.fr, mapy.cz, OS maps, and who knows what more. Personally, I use sometimes plotaroute.com since you can export the courses directly in Garmin's native FT file format and place them directly on your device. Otherwise you have to export the routes as GPX and import through Garmin Connect.
