Doubling gpx track

Hi! do you know if and possibly how it is possible to create a new track by "doubling" one I already have? for example I have a circular route and I want to do an activity that involves two laps but I have the track of only one lap. If I select the track at the start of the activity when I complete the first lap I will no longer have the indications for the second.

I have a Garmin Fenix 6.

Thanks in advance for your answers!

  • You can just start it again.

Or if you move the end point for the course off the course it will not end after the first lap and the watch will pick up your second lap after 50 meters or so.

  • Thank you for your answer!I

f I move the finish line as you suggested by a few meters so as not to finish the route, when I start to go back to the beginning of the track, do the notification of indications work normally even if I've already done that section?

  • Yes. It will work just as when you followed the course the first time.

  • Perfect thanks! I've tried both methods and they work! Is there any way to duplicate the track anyway? so as to also have all the data such as the actual remaining distance, climbs, etc. for the whole route and not just for half? over a year ago i managed to do it only once but i honestly can't remember with which app/website

  • I've only done it manually by editing the GPX file in a text editor and copy-pasting the track.
