Unable to add a course to an event on calendar

I had found a local marathon event on the calendar that I was running. I added the event to the calendar and added my goal pace, etc

Recently the event organizers released the course information. So I downloaded the GPX file and imported to my course to create a Pace Pro strategy and add it to my event so my Suggested Workouts take that into account.

When I go to edit my event, there is no option to add the course.

When I got the course, I got an option to add it to the event, but the list only contains events created by me and not events I searched on Garmin Connect to add to my calendar.

Wondering if anyone else has run into this and has a solution.

I have this issue too. In my example I've found my event by searching for Races and Events in Garmin Connect app, finding the event already in the Ahotu verified source.

I have this issue too. In my example I've found my event by searching for Races and Events in Garmin Connect app, finding the event already in the Ahotu verified source.

Then checking in the app or on the web there's no option to add a course to this event. I can add a goal time/pace.

If I manually create the event, then I have options to add a course to the event in the app and on the web. This is the only 'solution' I've found.

This is a big problem for trail running events as estimated the course elevation profile matters.
