Save trimmed activity as...

Hi, I would appreciate your help. I use Garmin Fenix 6 to record our paddling training. It may consist from several activities (interval training, 200 m sprint, 1 km run, etc.). All recorded as one activity divided into laps. Then in Garmin Connect I would like to split the whole activity into pieces and save separatelly. Later I may compare e.g. all 1 km runs. I dont know how to do that. I know how to trim, but I am missing something like SAVE trimmed activity AS... Thanks a lot

  • The watch. Adding Hot Keys to fēnix 6 Series

On my Forerunner 945 I use long press on start to "change sport". Note that you don't have to actually switch sport. If you select the same sport it will create a multisport activity with two activities of the same type.

  • OK, I will try. I may add my own multisport, but number of activities (all are kayak) may differ from training to training. It seems to set number of activities first.

  • You don't have to create an activity in advance. Just start an activity just as you do now. When you want to create a multisport activity you just use the hot key and change sport. That will automatically create a multisport activity. Continue to change sport every time you want to add another activity.

  • You are so kind. I tried to create Multisport DRAGONBOAT with 3 kayaking sports and repeating (It could be just one activity and repeating I think. It works good in my home chair :-D. Now I try to do your last recommendation. Each activity in multisport cannot be renamed, right? So better to describe steps in Notes.

Edit: Multisport with repeating will need just one press, changing sport are two (hotkey to the next sport and confirmation of sport).

    Thank you so much!

True. If you don't need to mark laps then a prepared multisport type will work better.

You can't rename each activity in a multisport. They will just be numbered with the "activity type 1", "activity type 2" and so on. Example Running 1, Running 2...
