Weird issue on my Garmin connect app/web, as stated it seems to be doubling all of my active calories. For example, yesterday, I did a 47 minute bike ride and was listed for 630 active calories (715 is the county with resting calories) as seen on the first image (top left, and yes I know this is an overestimate in general and why to never trust wrist device calorie counters, but I digress). However as seen on the second image (top right) garmin connect says I burned 1525 active calories.
From my active calories of the activity, 630 * 2 = 1260, and given that cycling was the only activity i did that day, this means the rest 1525 - 1260 = 265 calories had to come from the 2421 steps I did that day, which seems way too much. Its more sensible and matches with previous records when before this issue started that 2421 steps would roughly equate to 265/2 ~ 132 calories. Overall the activity itself seems relatively fine on both my watch on phone, having listed the activity as 715 calories, but the garmin connect app seems to be fudging up and doubling them.
For some backgorund context, I think this started happening ever since I got a new Forerunner 255 Music to replace my Forerunner 55 2 weeks ago. Though I did a full reset of the 255 last week to make sure hat no erroneous errors such as this would occur
Aug 17 Activity on the left vs calorie totals on the right
Aug 6 Another cycling activity I did, on the left (Active was 505) vs calorie totals on the right
