Not registering stairs or intensity minutes correctly.

I did an hour of HIIT and cardio this morning and my VA4 only registered 17 intensity minutes.
also, I live on the 4th floor of an old building with high ceilings - and I walk up and down the stairs at least 3 times a day. I’m lucky if this thing registers 5 flights total.
Combined with the rubbish battery, I’m shopping on the Fitbit site.
Any suggestions? - have already tried resetting it

That's very well possible. Vivoactive 4 requires that your HR stays 10 continuous minutes above the intensity threshold (which by default is roughly 150% of your 7 days average Resting HR), before the counter starts incrementing. So if the HR drops below that threshold shortly, the 10 continuos minutes must be reached each time anew. High HR peaks shorter than 10 minutes will not increment the IM value.
