Is it possible to select custom laps, such as 100m, 250m, 400m, or 2km, for post-activity analysis?"

I would like to have the option to view and analyze activities using customized laps, regardless of how they were completed.

For Run activities, the standard unit settings are defined as 'Laps' in kilometers or miles. During programmed interval training, the selected Intervals/Laps are visible.

  • I would like to have the option to view and analyze activities using customized laps, regardless of how they were completed.

Unfortunately this option does not exist in Connect (either the website or the app).

There is a free website - https://www.runalyze.com - which syncs activities with your Connect account and allows you to view custom laps (of arbitrary distance and time) after the fact.

I use it all the time to (temporarily) chop my activities up into custom laps of my choice - it's great.

  • Thanks . I will give runalyze a look.

Still it would be a nice feature for Garmin to implement simple feature like on MapMyRun where you can use device registered laps or chose to view 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0, 5.0, 10.0 or 20 km

  • For sure, a native feature is always better than 3rd party stuff. While runalyze is powerful, it's also not very user-friendly, and it doesn't work well on mobile. (Pretty much need a tablet or a computer to take advantage of it.)
