Adding Courses from Google Maps?

I'm thinking of doing a long ride from Asheville, NC to Charlotte, NC (about 130 miles), Is it possible to create the route in google maps then somehow send it to my Forerunner 945? If so, how?

ChristoArbor , easiest way I've found, using the web browser on my computer... 
 
 Create your route in Google Maps 
 Click Menu > Share or embed map

Click COPY LINK 
 Paste the link into https://mapstogpx.com/ 
 Click LET'S GO 
 GPX file will download 
 Go to Garmin Connect Web and import the downloaded GPX file as a course 
 Send course to the Forerunner 945. 
 
 Alternatively, you can just create the course directly in Garmin Connect Web .
