How can I export the daily HRV data? And if I can't - why not?

i want to export the HRV data, but this seems impossible.

Which ones exactly? During an activity? In such case, you have to enable the HRV recording in the settings on the watch. If you have a watch supporting that option, then it should be in Menu » System » Data Recording » Log HRV. When enabled the HRV data is logged together with all other activity metrics into the FIT file of the concerned activity.

And if you mean the overnight HRV data, then it should be available in the data package that you can export on the page Daily Summary of Garmin Connect Web (see the option Export Original in the cogwheel menu)

Another way to get the HRV data, is by using the DevTools » Network tool of the browser - find the page containing the data of your interest, and the HRV data then can be copied in the JSON file format, that is easier readable than the default binary FIT file format.
