Which activity while using a walkpad

Hey there,

I am new to Garmin and thinking about what would be the best fit of activity while using a walkpad under my desk.

I work from home and have to use a lot my keyboard, but also want to track my steps.

I use the Forerunner 965 since last wednesday.

Is threadmill the way to go or maybe just "Walking".

Is there a opportunity like a gadget that allows step counting without "swinging" my arm?

Thanks a lot for ur advices in advance and have a great week.

Cheers

  • Maybe a (Garmin) foot pod is capable of tracking your steps?

Frankly told, moving your legs on a walkpad has little common with true steps while walking or running. However, if you do not mind cheating yourself and others about the steps you do, you can attach the watch to the ankle instead of the wrist.

It will be just a bit uncomfortable to look at the watch under the desk, but otherwise it works fine Smiley
