"Malformed and we are unable to process it" - Help!

Hey all - I know this has been asked before. Finished a ride, and couldn't upload to Strava ("Malformed and we are unable to process it" error). Can 't even access the ride on the device. I looked online to troubleshoot myself, however I don't have a PC and cannot download the .exe FitFixer tool I've seen posted. Can anyone take a look at the file attached here and see if they can help me fix it? I usually wouldn't care - but this was a race.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Only 2 kb in size. There is virtually nothing in the file.

Odd - I show other rides (one on Tuesday that was 33mi and 1.5 hours - with tons of intervals - and the file is only 2KB too...? That one uploaded though.

Sorry, but there are no records or timestamps in the corrupt file and only this error pops up in Fit File Repair tool

How are you retrieving these fit files? If you had a computer, they would be located in the GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder.

My little 2 mile walk tonight was 141 KB

So odd - there is something going on. I am retrieving them directly from the Garmin in the activity folder, no different than any manual upload before. It’s really odd this has just started to happen with past few files - it looks like they are all 0-2KB. Wonder if I have an issue with the actual head unit…

Odd that the 2KB ride is in Strava though. Head scratcher.

any other ideas? This one is a mystery to me.

Thanks, just cleaned them out. Can't believe the activities don't auto delete once at capacity. If this was really a capacity issue - kinda frustrating that isn't cooked into an alert process or something. Losing race data sucks.

And since it didn't happen on Strava, now my life is a fraud.
