Bulk selection of activities (e.g. for deleting)

I have to delete workouts which have flooded my Workouts via Training Peaks with Garmin not properly deleting them when a TP training plan is removed.

To do this, I have to:

1. Move the mouse all the way over to the ellipsis (three vertical dots).

2. Click the ellipsis.

3. Move the mouse down to the delete text.

4. Click delete.

5. Move the mouse to the middle of the screen to the confirmation dialog that appears (because you cant hit enter to confirm).

6. Click "Yes".

7. Move the cursor back to the ellipsis. New round.

This is INCREDIBLY cumbersome, even if you want to delete only one or two entries. Just imagine when you have 11 pages!

What about giving us a "select multiple" entries? Where you can tick boxes, or even "select all", and then bulk-delete the selected entries? Afaik, in the world of usability, UX and UI, this would be a basic part of any design there you are meant to handle multiple entries. So maybe Garmin would consider implementing this? That said, I know that such "advanced" features as this is one of the first things to go when companies move over to "modern" designs.

  • I recommend suggesting a change to Garmin through the form at Share Ideas | Garmin since we cannot help you much with it, here on the user forum, apart from some JavaScript hacks that are possible to inject through the DevTools console. If you have some experience with coding, search the forum for "bulk delete" or similar expressions - it may give you some ideas.

  • Thanks for the suggestion! I'll do both those things :)

I posted here mostly because my immediate thought was that people from Garmin too used this forum to communicate with their users, but on second thought a mostly *user* forum is what is most common. But again, thanks for the reply, and I'll look into both of your suggestions!
