Help to fix the .fit file

Hello,

I had a nice 600km quilifying bike marathon today, and my Garmin Edge 1040 made a bad trick with me (2nd occurrence of this issue): instead of saving new activity Garmin just deleted it. That made me devil mad today as the issue happend 2nd weekend in a row. This time I was luck to coy the respective fit file, but Garmin Connect says this instead of import: "We don't support the file type you tried to import."

Could you please have a look and help me to fix the .fit file ?

I've thrown my garmin edge to the trash bin. Have not interest to recover anything from there.

Ok. Thank you OnlyTwo. I have recovered this post and deleted other duplicate comments. Appologies, but garmin made me really mad yesterday after 37 hours ride.

The real story is that I stopped the track recording took photo of Garmin screen and then was makin selfie fitting the hotel label on the background. When selfie was done I look at Garmin screen and it was showing me home screen instead of usual summary and request to confirm how much water I drunk and calories ate. And that's it - activity has gone. Then I recovered it immediately with the FixDisk tool.

Exactly same thing happened last weekend when I tried my first 600km this year. With the diff that last weekend it happened after 185kms. I think there is some issue with the Garmin i.e. disk. May be I need to delete all other 30+ activities from the folder. Or go back to my old Dacota device.
