Individual lap reporting

There is a 'lap' checkbox on the visual screen that shows the track that I ran on. I can press the play button and the icon moves around the track for the two laps that I did. The problem is that the track is colored coded according to how fast or slow I ran different sections of the track. But the display does not change from lap one to lap two. I would think that the 'lap' checkbox would give me this feature.

It's useless to combine the speed of BOTH laps onto one diagram. Typically, a runner will be completely the second lap at a slower pace and it would be nice to see that.

Does anyone know how to get this color coded visual depiction on the track to change from lap to lap? Thanks!

  • Probably the easiest is to just read text table with laps.

    To get coloring for overlapped path you can temporarily trim an activity (the option at top-right corner):

    Gear️ -> Trim

    Then restore original, though this would be too much clicking for each lap.

  • That certainly is an interesting work around. Thanks for providing that.

    I do wonder what the lap button actually does. Checked, or un-checked, the display stays the same.

    It adds lap numbers to the GPS track (which are fairly useless if you ran laps around a track.)

  • Ironically, when I first ran at this particular track, the GPS function was still 'perfecting' the shape of the track. So both laps were not quite perfectly overlayed on top of each other and I could see the color coding for each respective lap. Now that the GPS has determined where the perfect oval should be on this track, the two laps are perfectly on top of each other.

    I noticed that the lap designations pretty much was useless.
