Garmin Instinct workout settings

Hi all,

i set a strenght workout from mobile garmin app or website with a certain number of reps and sets but when i sent it to my device i can't see the number of reps to do.

I don't want to insert them during training, i want only read the number in the layout of my watch and press SET to go to next sets. Currently i see "---" in the rep camp.

thank you!

  • Here is what Garmin says: Strength Training Using the Garmin Instinct

"NOTE: While tracking a Strength Training exercise it is common for the device to not display any reps counted until the device tracks up to 5 reps. In this situation the watch will display “—“ until the device recognizes between 3-5 reps"

  • Thanks for replying, but like I said, I'm not talking about repeat detection. I'm interested to know if it is possible to set up a workout that displays the number of repetitions set in creating the workout. I don't want my watch to detect repetitions done at the moment. Thank you!

  • I've got the Forerunner 945. When I start a workout I first get a page showing the workout step with the number of repetitions. If I forget how many repetitions I was supposed to do I can scroll up to see a page with the step details.

You need to use rep counting to get the number of repetitions logged. It will not log what you wrote in the workout.
