Activity/Challenge badge from old device

Is there a chance that a badge will be deleted from your profile once you've sold the device you used where you earned it from? Will it be removed from your profile once the old device is reset and have a new owner?

I've upgraded a device and planning to sell the old one to a friend.

    Badges are from activities saved online, so those badges will stay.

    Old activities are auto removed from a watch to make space for new ones anyway, so basically same thing as reset.
