Whats the magic behind waypoints/trackpoints?

Hi there,

recently bought a new edge device and discovered that you can add so called "trackpoints" (like route bound pois) when editing a route in garmin connect. Those points are then shown on the device in a summary with distance and time.

As I am editing my routes externally (qmapshack) and then only importing the final gpx into garmin connect I tried to add trackpoints outside of garmin connect.
At least I tried. But only some of the points I create show up in the garmin connect map view.

Does anyone knows what criteria a gpx wpt has to meet to be shown in garmin connect?

Cheers!

Why I would like to use trackpoints? Because I want to have my route related pois directly on screen and often run into the 200 poi limit when using classic pois.

Example:
classic pois -> 1600km route (even when splitted to 100km segments) tries to handle all 300 pois at once and stops showing me stuff at 2/3 of the route.
trackpoints -> 1600km splitted into 100km segments. Each segment now has the relevant pois attached. No need ot handle all pois at once.
