Corrupt Fit file

Hi all,

This morning I went for a very nice run and now unfortunately the activity file seems to be corrupt.

I tried already some of the tools online, but did not manage/know how to fix.

The summary stats on the watch seem to be correct:

Time: 2:11:57

Dist: 22.64

Pace 5:50

When I look in the Fit file, I can see the distance is totally off. One of the "corrected" versions only showed the first half of the loop.

Does anyone know how to fix this file? Many thanks in advance!!

Some suggestions to help minimize the occurrence of corrupt fit files on a Forerunner 35

Avoid pressing stop or pause during an activity.
Sync your watch, backup the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder, then do a full master reset of your Forerunner 35 using these directions - Restoring All Default Settings.
Perform a weekly cleanup of the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder using these directions - Removing Recorded Activities to Free Up Space. The F35 seems to have problems with longer activities, so this step is important before a longer event.
Check for firmware updates using Garmin Express.
