I have it on my watch but not in the Garmin Connect android app.. so basically there's no point having it on the watch... When I upload it on the phone it puts the activity under "Other".…

I see what you mean. Even though a Padel activity will say "Padel" for the name of the activity on Garmin Connect, it is in the Other type. I tried both indoor and outdoor padel. They both are…

Is this the only way to have squash as an activity? To manually change the event type?

i thought I can add squash as an activity on the watch (venu 2 plus)

Among the Health & Wellness watches (Venu series, etc.), squash as an activity profile on a watch is only available on the Venu 3

It is a bit frustrating not to have it available, I must confess, but what can you do (but spend money)

You could try using a racquet sport that your watch does have, such as tennis, pickleball, or padel. Then change it in Garmin Connect after syncing.
