Garmin Connect not accepting Wahoo .fit or .tcx

So, has anyone been experiencing Wahoo files failing to uploaded to Garmin Connect?

Here is my timeline of events.

Feb 13th Garmin connect accepted .fit files sent by Wahoo SYSTM upon completion of a workout.  Automatic process.

Feb 14th Gamin connect did on accept .fit files sent by Wahoo SYSTM upon completion of a workout via automatic process.

Feb 15th and 16th tried some various attempts with Wahoo and no such luck with the Wahoo "Share" on the Wahoo SYSTM App.

Feb 17 .fit and .tcx files that were generated from the Feb 14th workout were manually uploaded but failed.

Feb 17 .fit file that was generated from the Feb 13th workout fails to upload manually even though it uploaded on the 13th.  the message is NOT the "... has already been uploaded" message, but "an error has been..." message.

Feb 17 a .fit file from a Garmin Edge 1030 Plus was uploaded and worked.

I am interested for your feedback and solutions...

thanks

  • okay I think there is a communications problem.

I did not mention there is a file problem with the Garmin Device.  I in fact said that the file from a Garmin device worked. "Feb 17 a .fit file from a Garmin Edge 1030 Plus was uploaded and worked"

What I said was that the the files from Wahoo SYSTM are not working.  Wahoo SYSTM is a training APP , like SWIFT or Trainer Road or pick your favorite workout App.

the zip file attached is the one from the Feb 14 workout noted above which does not load manually or by using the Wahoo SYSTM app.  By manually that is I log in to my Garmin Connect accountant drop the file in the "import data" drop file box

  • well that is sassy.  At least the file works.

So I am on Mac OS Ventura 13.2.1, if that helps with anyone, but how would this affect Wahoo SYSTM sending the file when the workout is done and getting a "reject" message..... just spit-balling here I guess.

as well under further testing.... Feb 17 I did another workout on Wahoo SYSTM using the iPad.  Wahoo sends a message that it was unable to upload my workout to Garmin Connect.

I then download the workout from the email from Wahoo SYSTM.  in the past I would just drag the downloaded .fit file from Safari browsers (upper right of the browser, if you use apple you know).  and drop it in the Garmin Connect and it uploaded. This week Feb 14 -17 Garmin connect gives the error and nothing appears in the Garmin Connect Activity.

So, I then dragged the .fit files to a desktop folder from the Safari download area (in the upper right corner)  and then dragged them from the desktop to Garmin Connect and received the same error message.... however, the workout did load and is Present in the Garmin Connect Activity page.

so it kind of worked.  however there is still something wrong with Garmin connect with accepting files.

Is there a limit to how many activities or space that I can have in Garmin Connect and I have reached or am reaching that threshold?

well on to see what everyone experiences or has suggestions

    thanks all in advance
