Garmin Vivosmart 5 does not track distance but tracks the complete track.

I am new to Garmin and am trying to get used to the interface. My issue is when I track a walk via gps on my watch it collects all the stats except the distance.

The first time I used it, it tracked it now suddenly it does not anymore??

When something isn't working as it should then start by restarting the watch, then connect it to Garmin Express on a computer and do a sync and install any updates.

Could you share a link to the activity? Make sure the activity is public.

That seemed to have worked. I did go in and make sure all activities track distance (which I believe was already on) I also turned the watch on/off.
I will try to use express as well as I am not familiar with that yet.
