Is Garmin looking to acquire Strava?

More and more I hear of rumors that Garmin plans to acquire (buy) Strava. Does anyone know more details about this?
That would be for me at least an explanation why there have been no great changes (improvements) on GC in recent times.

Let's be honest, Garmin is no longer up to date with the design and usability.
The range of functions in route planning I find embarrassing.
Sportily formulated: Strava has long since overtaken Garmin.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about this rumor.
That would be great.

But if something leaked out about it, surely fewer new premium subscribers would sign up.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too, why there's been so little happening on the website for a long time. So many idea submissions from users but only minimal improvements.
