Garmin activities of myself and others not loading in Edge browser

On my iPhone I can perfectly look at my Garmin activities, as well as of my connections. However, when getting into details on my Windows laptop with Edge browser the activities are not loading, leaving me looking at a constant 'loading' mouse pointer...

I tried ctrl F5, emptied cache and incognito mode, not solving this problem.

Anyone else having this issue? Or does anybody know what is causing this/how I can solve it...

Cheers!

  • Figured something out. I'm using NordVPN with Threat Protection enabled. Turning off Threat Protection solved this issue, but off course is not an OK situation for Garmin Connect... On my iPhone this does not give issues so someting in the browser version of Connect is targeted as Threat by NordVPN...

PS. In Lite version of Threat Protection Connect Web works OK as well...

  • but off course is not an OK situation for Garmin Connect

Why? Are you afraid of threats from Garmin? In such case you should perhaps stop saving your data on their servers. Garmin's servers are protected against hacker attacks by the service of CloudFlare, which often blocks the access from suspicious IP addresses trying to hide their true origin, and hiding behind VPN's and anonymizers when probing and attacking the remote server.

  • Good to add, without a VPN it also didn't work...There must be a reason why Threat Protection is making trouble here, I can imagine Garmin does not want that and (based on this feedback) can decide to do something about it.

  • You can also contact NordVPN about it. It will probably go faster than letting Garmin do it: Why is Threat Protection blocking some sites ?

"If you think a certain website or service should not be blocked please report it to our Customer service agents, we will review the service in question and will unblock it if necessary."
