When looking at my activity at Garmin Connect website, I can see a graph of the Respiration Rate (brpm) throughout my running session.
However, when I download the fit file (using "export original"), and convert it locally to a CSV file (using the FitToCSV.bat by Garmin fitSDK), I can't find the Respiration Rate information in the converted CSV file. I can find other parameters there such as heart-rate, running power etc., but not the Respiration Rate.
Why is that?
I do not know for sure, but I suspect the respiratory rate might be pulled from the all-day data, not from the activity file.
If you want to get the raw respiratory data of an activity, use rather the JSON data from Garmin Connect Web in DevTools » Network. All the metrics is stored in the data source "details". In the example shown below, the respiratory rate is in the field 26, but it will differ depending on the activity type, device model, and on other conditions. The description of the fields is included in the same source, under the node "metricsDescriptors".

Sort the list by name (click the header), you will find the data stream "details?...". easier then. However, I see you are not connecting to connect.garmin.com, rather to connect.garmin.cn - so perhaps the Chinese servers use different names too. Simply scroll through all the files, until you find the one with the full data structure in the Preview pane.
