2 corrupt fit files

I just got a Garmin 1040 Edge and my first 2 rides worked well but with the last 2 rides the device freezes upon clicking save. I am currently updating the firmware but is anyone able to help me repair the two corrupt fit files that were produced?

Using FIT File Tools section remover without any adjustments. Change the activity type from "Other" to "Cycling."

Hi Thanks that worked, however it stripped data for some bits. Do you know why it was corrupt? Like what was missing?

Ok thanks for the finding. I have updated the firmware today (just got it last week). But it is strange that it worked for the 2 first rides but perhaps I'm to quick to press save after a ride?
