Garmin connect not updating steps personal records…

I have beaten my personal steps record multiple times and the app is not updating it. It shows 234 000 for the month but Im at 258 000 right now. The same incorrect data shows on the webpage on my pc. In fact, none of my steps records are shown correctly. It seems that the app have been having this problem for many years now. This should be corrected. It is so frustrating…

    Relax and wait till the end of October. It is quite well possible that the month must be over, before being counted.

  • I have been having this problem for a year, for daily, weekly and monthly steps personal records. This is an app bug, and doesn’t have anything to do with my state of mind;)

  • I suspect that it may work in the same way also for the other records - you may need to wait till the year / month / week / day ends, before it appears on the list. If October does not appear on the list on the 1st or 2nd November, make screenshots of your monthly report + your records page, and send them to the Support.

  • Ok thanks a lot! Just for the record, I suspected that also, and the new record did not show even after the end of year/month/day. Multiple posts here that start a couple years back mention the same problem. I looked into the garmin specific definitions of personal record and it states that the record should be update as soon as it changed (or a very small difference). Anyways, thanks for your help, let’s hope this will resolve!

  • Personal records should be after syncing, like Current Goal Streak which adds every next day, displayed on a profile's page. Maybe check if Streak works (turn it on in Settings if not visible).
