Can I fill in the distance if my battery died before I finished a hike?

Hello.

My watched died right before I finished my hike. I tried to invert the track and repair it myself but couldnt figure it out. I am also on a mac so I dont have access to the Fit File Repair Tool. I have attached my gpx file. Is there a way to edit my activity to reflect the true mileage? This was an out-and-back hike, so I just need to go from the point where it quit recording back to start. If someone could help that would be great!!

If you just want to correct the distance, simply open the activity in Garmin Connect, tap Edit, and enter the true distance.

You don't need it using Garmin BaseCamp for Mac

Import the GPX file into BaseCamp
Select the activity > right click duplicate
Select the portion of duplicate activity needs to be removed
Delete that selection so all that remains is the portion you want to reverse
Select the remaining duplicate activity > right click invert selection
Select both tracks, right click "Join the selected tracks"
Export activity

You'll end up with this - activity_9737530516-fixed.zip. 26 miles.

Know that since this is a GPX file, you're missing a lot of metrics that are contained within the FIT file. If you want to attach a link to your fit file, might have better results.
