Highly Improving Badge

Hello There!

I see I still don't have the Higly Improving badge. I did some treadmill interval runs some time ago, Got well oiled chievo but not the HI badge.

Do you have any advice on how to best tackle this one and is it at all difficult?

Allright, before sending the message, I checked it's about aerobic training effect. Anyway I used to do some long distance runs as well (but not really races, it was rather steady 6:00 min/km pace) and still didn't get the badge. Any advice will be welcome. Thanks!

  • As written in the badge description "Reach an Aerobic Training Effect of 4.0 for an activity". Making a long aerobic run (10 or more km) is probably the easiest way to reach the TE of 4. Look at the stats of your runs - the reached training effect is always shown there. Of course, assuming your watch supports the feature of TE. If it does not, you cannot get the badge with that device.

See the following document - there is a table with example runs that can result in the TE of 4.0: What Is the Training Effect Feature on My Garmin Device? | Garmin Customer Support

  • Many thanks for the answer. I have Vivoactive 4 - it doesn't seem that it has TE feature. I did some additional research however and imported my activities to Runalyze. I found that I reached 3.5 TE for two recent 5k runs. Looks to me that if I keep the pace end extend the run to 10k, I should reach 4.0 - just as you suggested. Disappointed to hear that can't get the badge with VA4 model. I am going to verify that with 10k run anyway just in case.
