I've been having problems with the heart rate averaging in Garmin Connect Web.
The average heart rate displayed includes zero beats per minute activities and these are being included in the average.
Below is the monthly average HR for the last 6 months (Reports - All Activities - Average Heart Rate). For August the value is 4 bpm.
Before I purchased a Vivofit 3 in September 2021, this wasn't a problem - but activities from this device always have 0bpm average heart rate and maximum heart rate.
Here are the monthly average HR values for the same period in 2021. Everything was normal until getting the Vivofit 3 in September and using it to register activities.
There are two issues here, in my opinion:
1. Garmin Connect Web should ignore zero beats per minute heart rates when performing calculations
2. The Vivofit 3 should not output zero bpm values when there is no data. Instead there should be a "no data" values stored.
I have tried manually editing each activity to remove the zero bpm heart rates, but I've recorded 1600 activities in the last year and its a big job keeping up. Plus if you miss one, the average value is wrong.
I really like the Vivofit 3 as a device and the GC platform - please could you correct this problem!
