Fenix7S Solar Asia: watch's image is wrong in Connect Web and iOS APP

Hi, I'm using a Fenix7S Solar Asia Black version, but activity's detail page in both web and app the image of watch is silver version.

In APP: sync view is right, but activity view is wrong.

  • So, I found this issue in April since I bought this watch, in that time, I told myself, wow, this is an OBVIOUS glitch, Garmin's developer will fix this in weeks. Unfortunately, the QA team even not found this issue in 7 months? Garmin please be Garmin, do not make glitches like this to your customers. By the way, the support team in mainland China is awful, they even don't know what I said.

  • It is not a photo of your watch model, but a generic image common for all F7S Solar watches, so there is nothing wrong with it.

  • Mine watches have other colors everywhere on the Web.

    Seem to be just random.

But sure, would be nice to have proper colors.

  • I guess in .fit file, it only contains the watch model, doesn't contain the model's color cause this glitch.

  • Though, on the main site account, images for owned products are linked by a Part Number:
    garmin.com/account/products

I have correct colors there. If you edit part number in the link for other color, you get it, so they covered all colors.

You can check part number for a color on the store.

On the Web, images are linked only by name of a watch, so colors are wrong. They could change them to part number ones, easy to do as Manual link near image already has that number.

  • I'd tell it is by design. The (correct) image in the profile is private, while the image on the activity page may be shared, or be public. So first of all, having the same image for all color variants of the same model line, makes it easier for others to recognize the model quickly. And then I can imagine there would be, as usually, paranoid users complaining that Garmin reveals too much details about their watch, and violating their privacy Slight smile
