How do I fix a corrupt .FIT file?

My file was deleted from my activities folder, and I recovered it using Recuva. Once I did this, I tried using FitFileTools, which produced files that give the error "We don't support the file type you tried to import" when I upload them to garmin. I tried to use http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/, but it says the file is being used by another process. Hi Former Member,

Thank you for looking at the file! The only other file I have (since my activities folder is empty) is this one that I also recovered: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6xlwejlpmlpcd5i/_8UK1206.FIT?dl=0 - would this be enough to restore my first file?

Hi Former Member,

The run I'm trying to recover is my first time hitting 10 miles, so I'm pretty adamant about recovering it
