Zwift activity not overwriting heartrate in Garmin connect

Hi all,

I have a Garmin Venu 2 Plus, Garmin 830 bike computer with Garmin heart rate monitor and an indoor smart trainer with a Wahoo Tickr heart rate monitor.

Heart rate measurement of the Venu2 is always way off when it goes above 120 or something.
When I do a ride with the bike computer and heart rate strap, and upload the activity to Garmin connect, it overwrites the heartrate captured on my venu2 during the activity with the one measured on the strap. this is good because it is much more accurate.

But for some reason, when i do an indoor ride on Zwift and sync the activity (incl heart rate data, recorded on the Wahoo tickr chest strap), it does not overwrite the heart rate measured by my Venu2 during that activity...

This is very annoying since my data in the Connect dashboard is not correct now.

Any way to solve this?

Pair the strap with your Venu too.

  • I am not sure the strap can connect to 2 devices simultaneously.

And even if it can, I want Garmin Connect to overwrite it for a Zwift activity just like it does for an Edge830 activity. I dont see why it does it for the one but not the other.

Zwift activities also show up nicely in Connect, and I can see the heart rate measurements, just like an Edge830 activity, only the overwriting of the full day heart rate doesnt happen for Zwift. thats annoying and unnescessary

ANT+ devices can pair with multiple counterparts.

However, you can fix it today, so why waiting and hoping Garmin will change it once.
