[bug] Connect Web - doesn't show 'intensity minutes'

I did about 150km on a bike, rather intense

however, Connect shows me NO intense minutes from that day:

  • How many intensity minutes did the watch log for that day? Maybe it didn't log any and that is the cause to why you don't see any. Check the activity data. Are any intensity minutes reported for the ride?

Edit: I see now that you cross posted in the app forum. Trux gave the answer. Edge does not support intensity minutes. Wear your Garmin watch to get intensity minutes.

  • so this is poorly executed idea .... still place for improvement (i'm still considering it as a bug), most of my intense activities are on a bike.

I know that 'intensity minutes' is just a gimmick, not useful to anyone doing sports anyway.... but c'mon, just do it right....

  • You can consider it as a bug, but Garmin sees it as working as designed. The Edge devices are not activity trackers and intensity minutes is part of the activity tracking. To make intensity minutes useful you must have a Garmin watch with activity tracking. The idea is that you wear your activity tracker 24/7 to measure intensity minutes, HRV, body battery, stress, sleep, RHR, all day heart rate etc. An Edge device can't do that since it is only on during the ride.

  • yep. i know Edge can't do that, but nevertheless all data is available to Garmin - and even visible on one graph
