How to separate Cadence/HR etc from recreational walking/jogging from specific training oriented running activities ?

I would like to keep my watch at all activities that involves soccer and recreational walking/running with my buddy (at slower pace that my normal training).

But if I do keep my watch active at walks/soccer that it also messes up my running stats that I would like to see for improvement, I think all activities adds up to my overall statistic like cadence and stride length etc. Is there a way or how do you manage the statistic to be separate from your running and recreational walking/jogging?

I would like it so that the OVERALL cadence HR etc could only show from my runing training workouts, but I could track the overall distance etc separately from more recreational activities with my buddy for example. Now everything just adds up to the overall statistic.

  • Have a look at the section Reports - you can view stats separately for each discipline

  • Thank you for your reply. If I understand this correctly does all activities report include Running, but if I mark the activity for example as walking, it wont show up in running reports ?

Also can I add additional activities in Garmin connect, I added soccer in garmin watch but I cant see it as an alternative in garmin connect.

  • Yes, walking is a different category than running. As well hiking, rowing, swimming, cycling, etc. can be viewed independently. There is no soccer, but you can use the category "other"
