feature request: import gpx from 3rd party sources

As far as I know only those gpx files can be imported to garmin connect that are created by a garmin device. 3rd party files (komoot, alpenvereinaktiv, ...) can only be copied via USB connection into "new file" directory of the device. I would like to import all gpx files from the web or - even better - from the iOS App.

The reason is that I do not want to carry a notebook in my vacation.

I do not understand the reason for this limitation, to me it seems just annoying customers

I am able to create courses in komoot, export as GPX, then import into Garmin courses. Could you explain the process you're following and where you're seeing error messages, if any?

Assume you're using the import course link and not the import activity feature?

    Go to https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses

    Then import

There is also a connection between komoot and Garmin Connect where, if enabled, makes it easy to create courses in komoot and sync them with Garmin Connect. So you can do it all from the komoot and Garmin Connect apps on your phone.

  • Thank you! that works awesome! (But hard to find) you assumption was right I always imported activity....
