BUG (?) - changing elevation during adding Course Points

Hi team,

Im still new with Garmin family and I would like to try Garmin Connect to manage my routes as "Points" might by very useful for me.
It looks better on the longer routes, so I took longer one:

See, original router from RideWithGPS site:

337,1 km and 2914m

then, I did export GPX file and import to GC:

see Ascent, more than original already!!!! Now ... I wanted to add 3 Points on this route, did Save and ...

Ascent now is moooooooore less than original.

Someone could explain me what is going on here? Is it bug? Is it known bug?

one more case, I did import the same GPX file to Komoot in order to synchro with GC -> Edge device.
On komoot, route looks good, but imported in GC has already very different elevation than on Komoot:

And ... after synchro ... this track on Edge has ... 2280m of elevation :-D omg
