Importing Fitbit data - An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.

I have just bought a Venu 2 and have 4 years worth of Fitbit data I would like to import.

I can see on this forum of issues a few years ago but nothing recently

I have managed to import Body data but every time I try either Activities or Sleep I get this error message- An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.

I am assuming Fitbit has changed the export format so what I need to know is the exact format Garmin expects. That way I can look to modify the Fitbit output. Body data isn't that important, it is the activities I really want loading

You cannot import Sleep, AFAIK. And as for the Activities, you have to upload them whole - a file per activity. You are probably trying to import just the list of all activities, and that won't work - the list does not contain any detailed data of the activities, just their names and brief summaries. You need to export each activity, and then import it to GC, if you really need them in your GC account. Bulk importing of a big number of activity files is possible in GC Web - you just need to select all the files you need to import and drop them onto the Import page.

Thank you for the info re Sleep. After playing around a little I am now able to import steps which means I will be able to see the last 5 years in one place, The problem seems to be if the csv file is opened in excel the format changes and causes an issue.. Downloading a csv and either viewing first in notepad or just uploading straight away works ok
