Nap overwrote night sleep

I notice that the nap I took yesterday is used as yesterday's sleep, rather than my sleep at night.  in other words, I had an 8hr sleep block at night, then took a 2.5hr  nap furing the day, and my Garmin Fenix 6 (Connect) shows the nap rather than 8 hrs of sleep at night in the sleep tracking, and likely uses the nap data for recovery and not the night sleep data.  It's just gone, as if the nap totally overwrote it.

Surely there's a way to have multiple sleep blocks in a day.  My sleep block in the settings is set to 11pm to 7am.  Why did it overwrite rhat sleep with a nap in the afternoon?  And why can't it simply (worse case) add the nap data to the sleep data?

I see lots of questions and issues around sleep tracking, features removed, etc.  Garmin, can you please address this in an intelligent way?  Don't wait for votes.  Just do the right thing and make it work properly, even for people who have multiple sleep times or who take naps.
